The author

About J.R. Kron

J.R. Kron was born in Frankfurt am Main in 1968 and later grew up in the Taunus region. He began writing while attending boarding school in the Black Forest, publishing short fiction in fantasy and science-fiction fanzines and placing in short-story competitions. In 2005, his fantasy novel Elbendämmerung took second place in the Deutscher Phantastik Preis category for best German-language debut novel. His work moves between fantasy, mystery and history, with a particular interest in people forced to make difficult choices in uncertain times. The author now lives with his family in a picturesque town in the Taunus region. The Third Princess is the first English translation of Die dritte Prinzessin.
